 ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday said a shortcoming has been accounted for in a global submarine web link however substitute measures to offer continuous support to clients have been taken

As indicated by the PTA, a shortcoming has been accounted for in the global submarine link, SMW4, worked by PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd), in the Indian Ocean, because of which a few web clients might encounter minimized velocities during top hours

Work is in progress to completely reestablish internet providers at the earliest. PTA is observing the circumstance and will keep on refreshing on it,"


An issue that impacted the web speeds in the nation was last announced in December after which the PTCL began to move web traffic to different links.


PTCL gave an assertion saying that game plans had been made for "substitute data transmission".


"In the following not many days, extra transfer speed will be added," the assertion said.


In this period, web paces will be "marginally impacted", the assertion cautioned clients.
